Monetization and other penalties

Sometimes channels require multiple reviews, especially when several reviewers disagree on your channel’s suitability for YPP. Once you accept YPP terms and link an active AdSense for YouTube account, your channel will automatically be put in a review queue. We’ll send you an email once the expanded YPP program is available to you and you’ve reached the eligibility thresholds. We may also terminate your channel or account after a single case of severe abuse, or when the channel is dedicated to a policy violation.

If this isn’t your first application to be rejected, or you’ve previously re-applied, you can try again after a 90-day period. We’ll get back to you with a decision once your channel is reviewed (typically in about 1 month). Once done, you’ll see In Progress in the Get Reviewed step, which means we have your application! You’ll get an email once you’ve met either of the below eligibility thresholds.

Keep in mind that we take a stricter approach on content that targets minors. We also don’t allow other harmful behaviors, like threats or doxxing. You may also be asked to verify your account when you sign up.

If I meet the threshold, do I automatically get into YPP?
